The Dark Side of Her
64It's no secret that since the beginning of black life and culture that black women have always been passionate in their feelings. Okay, so we can definitely raise some hell when someone crosses us the wrong way, but over the years I think we have become somewhat tame(due to our professional evolution), until VH1 created "Basketball Wives", a poor excuse for a reality show. The episode that I watched today involved Tammy and Meeka who are insidious rivals that obiviously have it in for each other no matter what, and whenever the camera is rolling Tammy seems to ham up her true bitchy side to the point of retardness. It completely blows my mind that any woman who is married to a public figure would get on televsion and become a beligerent vixen of drama. Personally, if I were the husband of these unintelligable drama fiends I may be a little less inclined to pose for those already pre-empted photog moments.
It simply baffles my mind that we as women spend so much time fighting for our rights, explaining our nature and defending ourselves against the pig like thinking of all sexiest men that we would get on television and defile ourselves so willingly. As a black woman I am completely appalled that these women have taken an oath to become clowns and it seems that it's okay with them to speak for the rest of black women all over the world. I would think that if you were married to a public figure that you would know better than to air your still existing ghetto mentality in such a way that it looks as if you just grew up wrong and no one tried to correct it. These are self- proclaimed business women and if they conduct their business the way they have conducted themselves in this particular show, well then I don't see very much business in their future. Why would I want to deal with a woman who just beat another woman's ass in an italy nightclub all over some miscommunication. However, I would like to thank the producers of what I refer to as "trash tv" because if it were'nt for them I wouldn't have this to blog about. Cheers to Hollywood for turning itself into the madame of whoring one's self in front of the masses.
